Is Dental Bling OK?
I have no problem with tooth bling except the wearer must understand that the bling-tooth bond may be lost, resulting in a bling snack. The position of the bling may interfer with your bite and speech. Bling can also invite an allergic response to any metal in it. I would also have concerns about the sterility of something that will be cemented in my mouth. Dental grills – if made correctly – (with consideration for daily cleansability by the wearer), are no different than putting crowns on teeth – again, if done correctly. Usually the bite is compromised adversely affecting chewing and speech. I don’t know of any grillmasters in the Fresno area, but with a skilled grillmaster, a meticulous dentist, and enough money – the sky’s the limit!
